Zyxel GS1100-10HP v2 Gigabit Desktop Switch

Fanless unmanaged Gigabit switch with PoE+ and 2x fibre uplink

The GS1100-10HP v2 is an unmanaged switch from Zyxel that complies with IEEE-802.3at (PoE+). With eight Gigabit ports and 2 SFP ports, it is perfect for smaller, cost-effective PoE installations.

The benefits of PoE+
PoE technology helps many businesses power their access points, IP phones or IP surveillance cameras Over the Ethernet cable. The new 802.3at standard, also known as PoE+, increases the number of devices that can be powered via PoE and provides a higher overall return on investment (ROI). The 802.3at standard delivers 25.5 W guaranteed power or 34.2 W maximum power. Like conventional PoE, PoE+ requires two cable pairs each for data transmission and two for power transmission in a Cat. 5+ (preferably Cat. 6) Ethernet cable. IEEE-802.3at is backwards compatible with older PoE-capable devices. To meet the high demands of today's networks, Zyxel offers four switch models that comply with IEEE-802.3at.

Additional PoE+ Switches
To meet the demands placed on modern networks, Zyxel offers additional switch models that comply with the IEEE-802.3at standard. These switches are marked with PoE+.

Fanless, energy-saving, high-performance
The switch impresses with its fanless operation and very low power consumption of 15 watts (without PoE). The device complies with the 802.3az standard of the IEEE. Thanks to the non-blocking backplane, prioritised Layer 2 traffic can be forwarded with 802.1p class-of-service queues. Jumbo frames of up to 9 KB are also supported to increase performance.

  • Fanless design for quiet operation and reduced power consumption.
  • PoE devices can be powered with a maximum of 30 watts per port.
  • The total budget for all devices powered by PoE on the switch is 130 watts.
  • Supports PoE according to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+)
  • A maximum of two devices can be connected via fibre cable (SFP module required).
